Job Description

Job Summary The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, moving, and issuing materials within the warehouse or manufacturing facility. This role supports inventory accuracy through the use of handheld RF scanners, inventory management systems, and material handling equipment while ensuring timely delivery of materials to production and shipping areas. Key Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips. Use handheld RF scanners to track inventory movements, material receipts, transfers, and shipments. Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy. Pick, pack, stage, and deliver materials to production lines and warehouse locations. Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment. Perform inventory transactions in ERP/WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, Plex, etc.). Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. Ensure proper material labeling, storage, and FIFO inventory practices. Support shipping and receiving operations as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following OSHA and company safety guidelines. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. 1+ years of material handling, warehouse, logistics, or inventory control experience. Experience using handheld RF scanners/barcode scanners. Knowledge of inventory management and cycle counting. Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks preferred. Basic computer skills and familiarity with ERP/WMS systems. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Pay:
$32.00 - $35.00 per hour
