Employment Specialists - 3.1 Wyoming, MI Job Details 6 days ago Qualifications Lifting equipment Forklift Manufacturing facility Driving Materials handling Pallet jack Hand tools Hi-Lo Manufacturing company experience Material handling equipment operation Full Job Description Summary The Material Handler is responsible for the movement of raw materials, in process, and finished products to and from molding, packing, and warehouse areas by performing the following duties. Responsibilities Maintain component levels for fabrication booths and molding line to ensure production schedule can be met. Put unused components away and change quantity count on boxes. Avoid losing stickers and paperwork to help ensure order accuracy. Put partial boxes in racks, full boxes in trailer by matching work order requirements with floor inventory, stickers, and paperwork. Put away finished goods into warehouse. Understand and maintain FIFO system on all materials. Communicate with warehouse personnel to get appropriate inventory trailers backed into the dock to support the production schedule, with other shift on status of orders and components, with plant purchaser of materials and component inventory levels. Complete all necessary inventory counts and appropriate paperwork. Use computer skills to check inventory locations of needed components and maintain kanban or visual min/max system. Have next shift's components ready for immediate production at the beginning of their shift. Help organize and track overflow area and quantities, and record and take care of scrap when necessary. Maintain a clean and organized work environment including 5S. Consistently adhere to and support company policies, Work Instructions and/or other procedures, and ISO requirements. Treat others with dignity and respect. Assist with any other assigned duties. Comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Lock Out, and all other Safety requirements. Compliance with all local, state and federal requirements such as:OSHA, EEO, DOT.
Other duties as assigned Qualifications Job requires at least 1-year experience working in a Shipping or Material Handling position within a manufacturing setting. Ability to work at a fast pace and manage multiple priorities. Previous experience driving hi-lo and using pallet jack. Ability to use hand tools as required. Physical Requirements Continuous (continuous = 67-100% of the time): Standing, seeing, hearing, grasping, stooping, bending at waist, and twisting upper body Pushing, pulling and lifting of up to 50 pounds Frequent (frequent = 33-66% of the time): o Talking and crouching Occasional (occasional = up to 33% of the time): Kneeling, repetitive hand motions, pinching o Pushing, pulling and lifting up to 75 pounds This position requires a minimum of an eight-hour day on company premises for five days a week with some overtime. #WFPROGRAMSimilar jobs in Wyoming, MI
