Job Description

Job Title:
Material Handler Job Description The Material Handler supports production by accurately picking and delivering parts from the warehouse to the production floor. You move primarily on foot throughout a large, clean manufacturing warehouse, using carts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to ensure the production team receives the right parts at the right time. This role plays a key part in keeping assembly lines running smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities Pick parts from the warehouse according to production orders and deliver them to the production floor. Use carts to navigate the shop floor while picking orders and organizing products for efficient transport. Assist the receiving team by checking incoming materials and replenishing parts inventory as needed. Operate a pallet jack to move materials safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse. Walk up to approximately 5 miles or 10,000 steps per day while locating and retrieving parts. Learn and complete training to become certified on a stand-up forklift, as needed for operations. Read and follow written work reports and pick lists to accurately pull and stage materials. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in a manufacturing warehouse environment. Work effectively in a fast-paced setting while standing for most of the shift in required safety footwear. Collaborate with warehouse, receiving, and production teams to support continuous assembly operations. Essential Skills Minimum of 6+ months of warehouse experience. Material handling and order picking experience. Ability to read and write work reports to accurately pick and pull parts. Comfortable walking up to 5 miles per day and standing for extended periods. Experience using pallet jacks to move materials. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn and become certified on a stand-up forklift. Ability to work safely in steel-toe footwear. Experience with stocking, shipping, or order picking in a warehouse or similar environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Any prior forklift experience is preferred. Experience working in a manufacturing setting is preferred. Experience with packaging and general warehouse stocking is beneficial. Familiarity with material handling tools such as order pickers and tuggers is an advantage. Why Work Here? Work Environment You work in a very clean, large manufacturing warehouse environment, including enclosed areas within a multi-building campus. The facility operates as a production and manufacturing setting with significant floor space, requiring frequent walking and movement throughout the day. You use carts, pallet jacks, and stand-up forklifts (once trained and certified) to move materials. The pace is fast, with continuous production activity, and you spend most of your shift on your feet while wearing steel-toe footwear and appropriate safety gear. The environment emphasizes organization, cleanliness, and safe material handling practices in a large-scale industrial operation. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Anoka, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.83/hr.
