Job Description

Role Summary Superior Decks and Railings, a leader in custom architectural metal fabrication, relies on the Materials Handler to manage incoming shipments, ensure the accuracy of materials, and keep the facility organized. The core of this position involves handling complex part numbers, accurately inspecting custom fabrication components, and efficiently utilizing the delivery check-in system. This role requires critical thinking to look beyond just the numbers to anticipate inventory needs, spot discrepancies early, and safely organize materials to support the production workflow. We welcome candidates with diverse backgrounds where hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, warehousing, and material tracking is highly valued. Key Responsibilities Receiving & System Check-In
  • Unload incoming freight.
  • Physically verify materials against purchase orders for quality.
  • Immediately log the delivery into the system to ensure real-time data integrity. Production Support & Material Staging
  • Accurately pick, sort, and deliver the correct raw materials and custom fabrication components to the production floor.
  • Keep the workflow moving efficiently. Inventory Tracking & Cycle Counts
  • Maintain precise records of stock levels.
  • Manage bin location assignments for materials.
  • Perform routine cycle counts. Safe Equipment Operation & Organization
  • Safely operate standard warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) to move heavy freight.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility. Physical Demands
  • Must be able to comfortably perform physical labor in a manufacturing warehouse environment, including standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Safely lift, push, pull, and carry materials weighing 50+ lbs on a regular basis.
  • Frequently transition between standing on the shop floor and sitting to safely operate standard warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Demonstrate continuous manual dexterity, bending, reaching, and twisting to properly sort and organize custom metal fabrication components.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
