JOB DESCRIPTION
Hourly Position Position Title:
Warehouse Lead Worker Position Summary:
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing and administering all warehouse operations, including the receipt and shipment of products, inventory control, and coordination with third-party providers. Strong managerial experience is essential, as this position leads daily warehouse operations, directs warehouse staff, and ensures safe and efficient logistics. Key responsibilities include organizing and managing incoming and outgoing orders, batching parts for each system, and maintaining a highly structured warehouse layout and inventory method. The manager must be forklift and telehandler certified and able to read and interpret manufacturing drawings to ensure accurate system handling and assembly. This role is also the primary point of contact with project managers, responsible for assisting with shipments, and managing warehouse logistics. Must have experience with loading plans including rigging.Performance Requirements:
Regularly lift 50+ lbs. Forklift certified and telehandler certified (ARE provide re-certification). Regularly sit for more than 6 hours using office equipment (computer, telephone, printer, etc.). Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings and system assembly diagrams. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Publisher) and Microsoft Teams. Strong in-person communication skills. Regularly stand, stoop, reach, bend, lift, and carry items for over 6 hours in non-climate-controlled conditions. Ability to concentrate, persist, and work independently or in a team. Demonstrated leadership and experience supervising teams in a warehouse environment. Dependable attendance and punctuality.Duties and Responsibilities:
Off-load containers and load flat-bed trucks; working knowledge of rigging, blocking, and dunnage. Knowledge of small engines and hydraulics preferred. Lead warehouse personnel in daily operations, assigning tasks, monitoring productivity, and maintaining safety standards. Ensure secure and organized product storage. Maintain shipping and receiving documentation. Bundle and prepare products for shipment. Maintain accurate, up-to-date inventory records. Interpret manufacturing and system drawings to ensure correct part handling and staging. Use Microsoft Teams and shared documents for communication, planning, and progress tracking. Learn all product lines- AFS Foundations, Tilt-up Poles, Assembly, and Installation
- to support customers remotely or in person as needed.
Work Environment/Environmental Conditions:
The role includes both indoor and outdoor work, often in environments that are not climate controlled. Exposure to vehicle/generator exhaust, oil, dust, and pollen is expected.Work Hours and Expectations:
