As a Full-Time Warehouse Selector at Upper Lakes Foods, Inc., you'll be the backbone of our operations, expertly loading and unloading trucks, carts, and pallets to keep our products moving smoothly. Your role will involve restocking the warehouse to ensure we're always ready to meet customer demands, all while maintaining a clean and safe environment. To thrive as a Full-Time Warehouse Selector at Upper Lakes Foods, Inc., you'll need a blend of physical stamina and technical skills. You'll regularly lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds, demonstrating your strength and agility while navigating the warehouse environment. Experience with industrial power equipment, such as powered pallet jacks and forklifts, is essential. Familiarity with computer systems to manage incoming and outgoing orders will set you up for success. You'll also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe workspace, ensuring compliance with company safety and sanitation policies. Establishing effective relationships within the team and the wider community is key, as is the commitment to productivity standards. A high school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 months of warehouse experience will help you excel in this role. Knowledge and skills required for the position are: Build orders according to assigned load tickets using industrial power equipment. Lift, pull and push 50 pounds, bends over, reach above head, and kneel. Operate a powered pallet jack or lift product. Operate a forklift and other equipment associated with warehouse operations as needed. Ensure neat/clean environment in compliance with Company Safety and Sanitation requirements and discarding materials in the proper manner. Restock and replenish as appropriate. Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures. Responsible for meeting productivity requirements. Safely operate all the necessary equipment in work area. Utilize computer system to receive incoming/outgoing orders. Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department the Company, and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge, and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities. Requires regular attendance to perform essential element as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work. Performs such individual assignments as management may direct. High School Diploma or Equivalent 1-3 months' experience in a warehouse setting While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and taste and smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and /or move more than 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and extreme cold. The noise level in the workplace environment is usually loud. Requires the ability to work in freezer, cooler and dry conditions for a long period of time.
