Job DescriptionJOB DETAILSBase Pay:
$19.00 per hourShift:
Days Monday-Thursday 7:00 am - 4:30 pm Friday 7:00am to 11:00amDUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIESThe Shipping Loader is responsible for loading and unloading of company vehicles in accordance with quality, quantity, and safety standards. Works with the other members of the department to achieve company goalsReceives directions from the Shipping Supervisor, Lead, or Cell Lead, and also notifies them when more work is neededRotates functions within the department as needed and assigned by Shipping Supervisor/Group LeaderWorks as a contributing member of the department teamPerforms all functions according to sound safety principles and company policies and proceduresNotifies Supervisor/Group Leader of any existing or potential safety issuesReviews the load sheets and pulls product for the specific route. Loads and unloads trucks making sure to always secure the loadSafety and accurately stages finish goods in warehouseCompletes all necessary paperwork and documentation neatly, timely, and accurately including quality reports, timecards, etcMaintains good housekeeping in the departmentMonitors product constantly to assure quality standards are being met, and notifies Group Leader whenever product appears to not meet quality standardsAssembles shipping crates and prepares common carrier shipments as directed, taking care to package product to effectively guard against shipping damageAll other duties as assignedQualificationsProven time management skills with the ability to respond to time-critical issues, and work overtime as needed to meet deadlines.Excellent work ethic - ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player.
