Monday-Thursday, 6:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Job Summary Join the Homecrest production team as a Material Handler for our welding department! In this role, you will organize, select, and distribute materials and tooling to welders to ensure accurate and timely completion of work orders. The ideal candidate is dependable with a keen eye for detail to ensure the success of our team. Job Duties Read welding tickets to determine material needed to set up welding work orders. Create kits of parts; find, sort, compile, and distribute parts to welders. Use forklift and picking lift up to heights of 20 feet or more. Accurately receive and place parts into the welding superstore. Maintain inventory accuracy and organization of welding superstore. Communicate part shortages as needed. Maintain forklift and picking lift by conducting daily inspections and ensuring proper charge. Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follow all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program. Work at a consistent and steady pace, be prepared to work each day, and report to assigned work area in a punctual manner. Maintain regular and predictable attendance. Work required overtime as needed. Keep facilities, materials, and work area clean and orderly. Perform all other duties as assigned. Requirements Forklift and picking lift certification. Strong communication and customer service skills. Familiarity with computers, scanners, and other technology. Excellent organization skills and a process-orientated mindset. Self-motivation with the ability to work without direct supervision.
