Location Description The Hazelwood, Missouri plant produces a variety of fruit and nut products, including organic and non‑organic items, as well as trail mixes, with annual production of approximately 25 million pounds. The site supports a team of nearly 200 manufacturing and support employees and plays an important role in supplying products to the region. Hazelwood is located in the greater St. Louis metropolitan area and is home to Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, providing convenient transportation access and connectivity. The community offers proximity to major highways, a large and diverse workforce, and a long‑standing manufacturing presence, making it a well‑connected and attractive location for operations and employees alike.
Responsibilities Position Summary:
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Material Handler coordinates all movement of product throughout the facility to provide a consistent flow of materials. Responsible for maintaining accurate and real-time computer inventory records concerning the movement of material. This will include resolving physical and computer reconciliations of inventory discrepancies. Position will also maintain and manage inventory to ensure maximum storage capacityk handle emergency material requestsl load and unload docks; and act as back-up forklift driver for Shipping and Receiving.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow all workplace safety policies and compliance regulations as per GMP and SQF procedures Organize and maintain a clean and safe work environment Accurate stock count for the pre-picked raw Follow the pick list prepared by production for pre-picking. Clear Radio communication to lead hand, CB forklift drivers and production Accurately pick raw material/packaging and put away finish goods and raw materials, left-over using scanners and forklift in a timely Organize and maintain inventory, according to documented Support the production department Accurately document Other duties assigned.
Qualifications Education and Experience Required:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution. 1+ years' experience operating a forklift. Forklift Safety & Operation Certification. Must be able to move / lift up to 50
