Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse, contributing to inventory management and distribution processes. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and quality, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Operate various warehouse equipment including forklifts, and pallet jacks, for materials handling. Perform inventory management tasks, including tracking stock levels and conducting regular inventory counts. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for order fulfillment and inventory control. Execute shipping and receiving duties, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. Engage in order picking and packing activities. Load and unload materials from trucks, ensuring safe handling practices are followed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA standards. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. Assist in packaging products for shipment while adhering to quality standards. Experience Previous warehouse experience is preferred, with familiarity in warehouse distribution processes. Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or reach trucks is highly desirable. Knowledge of inventory management practices and systems (e.g., AS400) is beneficial. Mechanical knowledge is an asset for troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise. Experience with order fulfillment processes, including picking & packing, shipping & receiving, and stocking is essential. A background in manufacturing or construction may be advantageous.
