Warehouse Specialist Preston Refrigeration - 3.9 Kansas City, MO Job Details Full-time $18 - $20 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Driver's License Full Job Description The Warehouse Specialist position handles Preston Refrigeration's needs for incoming and outgoing shipping orders, while maintaining current inventory levels of parts, etc.
Responsibilities:
Maintains a clean shop, picks up all tools and equipment and secures the shop each day to eliminate potential hazards. Assists when needed for deliveries of materials to job sites or facilities. Unloads materials from incoming delivery trucks and places materials in staging areas. Confirms all items have been received on packing list when received into the shop, enters items into company parts system. Confirms all materials, equipment & supplies are packed into crates and onto delivery trucks to be shipped out to sites. Ensures maintenance on all shop equipment is in a condition that does not compromise safety when maintenance is needed alerts VP of Operations. Assists with loading and unloading of delivery trucks, hauls, and hoists materials. Coordinate with other shop personnel to ensure job sites/job trailers have proper equipment to complete job. Assists with all receiving of incoming and shipping of outgoing product from vendors. Performs inventory checks, including maintaining current inventory list in Viewpoint. Updates as necessary. Removes garbage from break rooms as needed to eliminate overflow of waste. Assists with performing valve tagging on control stations prior to shipment, ensures tags match P&ID's. Willingness to travel as needed throughout the continental US. Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed, brings problems to the attention of the Safety Director. Maintain a neat and clean appearance and motivated, positive attitude. Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED equivalent; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be 18 years of age. Basic experience with Word, Outlook, and Excel preferred. Valid driver's license. Ability to lift and carry heavy items for extended periods of time. Ability to travel minimally at times with overnight stays when required. Effective communication skills.
