Warehouse Worker Job Description The primary role of a warehouse worker is to efficiently receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards. Responsibilities Receive and count stock items, recording data manually or using a computer. Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards. Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors. Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas. Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment. Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment. Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors. Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers. Essential Skills Verbal and written communication skills. Analytical and problem-solving abilities. Team player and detail-oriented. Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective security operations. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 2-4 years of experience required. Ability to work on feet for up to 10-hour shifts. Ability to match labels. Why Work Here? Employees are allowed to use one earbud or pod to listen to music or podcasts. Shifts are available for 1st shift from 5am to 3pm, four days a week, and 2nd shift from 3:30pm to 11:30pm, five days a week. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Liberty, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
