Warehouse Worker Job Description This role focuses on receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and other items within a stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. You will help maintain accurate inventory records, ensure items are stored in an organized and accessible manner, and support day-to-day warehouse operations in a clean, climate-controlled facility. Responsibilities Receive incoming stock items, verify quantities, and record data manually or using a computer system. Count and reconcile stock items, comparing physical counts with inventory records and investigating any discrepancies. Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards. Store items in an orderly, clearly labeled, and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other storage areas. Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, RF scanners, or other labeling equipment. Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Keep accurate records of stock usage, damage, and stock handling equipment conditions. Examine and inspect stock items for wear, defects, or damage, and promptly report issues to supervisors. Assist and provide direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers as needed. Perform lifting, scanning, picking, packing, auditing, and shipping and receiving tasks using RF scanners and other warehouse tools. Handle and prepare individual patient prescriptions for packing and shipping, following established procedures and accuracy standards. Essential Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills. Analytical and problem-solving ability to identify and resolve inventory and stock discrepancies. Ability to work effectively as a team player while maintaining strong attention to detail. Knowledge of warehouse equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies that support secure and efficient operations. Ability to perform lifting, scanning, picking, packing, auditing, shipping and receiving, and inventory tasks. Proficiency in using RF scanners for inventory and stock management. Ability to match labels accurately and maintain high levels of accuracy in order processing. English language capabilities sufficient for reading labels, following instructions, and communicating with team members. High school diploma or GED required. 2-4 years of experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or similar environment. Ability to work on your feet for up to 10-hour shifts. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with packing, shipping, scanning, and packaging in a warehouse or fulfillment environment. Familiarity with inventory control processes and auditing practices. Comfort working in a structured, process-driven environment focused on accuracy and safety. Work Environment This position is based in a clean, climate-controlled micro-fulfillment center designed to keep you comfortable and out of extreme hot or cold weather. The work primarily involves light-duty tasks such as packing and shipping individual patient prescriptions, though you will remain on your feet for most of your shift. The role follows a second-shift schedule of 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Friday and Sunday only. You will use RF scanners and standard warehouse equipment to perform scanning, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory tasks. The environment supports focus and productivity, and you are allowed to work with one earbud or ear pod in to listen to music or podcasts while performing your duties, as long as safety guidelines are followed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Liberty, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
