GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

General Labor may be required in any of the following work centers: packing tables, catching parts from the end of our straight-line edge bander, assembling products, or hanging/removing parts on the paint line. This position is responsible for following the directions of the Production Supervisor/Lead, to assist when needed, as well as performing other assigned duties. We expect attention to detail and a positive "can-do" attitude.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

• Ensures a safe work environment is maintained at all times, inclusive of wearing required protective gear.
• Verify the quality of parts arriving/departing the designated operation.
• Abides by standard code of conduct in all interactions inside and outside of the department.
• Assembly or using hand tools, such as screw drivers and drills to assemble cabinets, case goods, etc.
• Will manually package ready to assemble (RTA) products, stacking boxes and/or tables to achieve heights up to five feet.
• Must be able to maneuver a manual pallet jack.
• Ensure the product is defect-free, parts correctly packed, and stacked neatly on the pallet.
• Must be to work well with others - Team Player.
• Ensure work pieces are produced correctly throughout machine operation.
• Must work in extreme warm or cold temperatures.
• Listen carefully and follow verbal instructions.
• Must be able to maintain a good steady production pace for entire shift.
• Dependable, maintaining good attendance, regarding tardiness and absences.
• Performs other related duties as assigned, while understanding duties may change with or without notice.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

Education:

• High School GED - Required
• High School Diploma - Preferred

Experience:

• Ability to possess a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to possess a strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to operate highly technical machinery as well as basic hand tools.

Must be 18 years of age

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must have the manual dexterity to operate the machinery. Must be able to repeatedly lift 35 lbs. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand for extended periods of time, which often exceeds 10 hours per day. Frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with possible assistance. Must be able to lift, bend, push, pull, stoop, crouch, reach, and extend arms, wrists, and fingers constantly or stand / walk / lift for up to 10+ hours per day. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and ability to adjust focus. Other requirements may include having to regularly walk, bend, kneel, crawl, or repetitive use of arms/wrist/fingers.
