Job Title:

Raw Material Handler Job Description The Raw Material Handler is responsible for performing daily shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory activities. This role also involves assisting in production operations, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the department. Responsibilities Operate sit-down forklift, with preference for wide-load forklift operation. Load and unload trucks using a fork truck, pallet jack, and/or hand truck according to safety regulations. Unpack crates and boxes, check items for accuracy and damage, and document findings. Package finished goods for shipment. Interact with vendors for shipment pickups to deliver to the Cuba plant or a third-party facility. Place receipts on hold and follow up with the appropriate plant or vendor if parts are incorrect or paperwork is incomplete. Accurately process all Jobscope system transactions related to shipping, receiving, and bin transferring. Assist with roll-forming skin panels and other production operations as needed. Maintain shipping and receiving files. Assist with the receipt of customer returns. Essential Skills Experience in shipping and receiving. Ability to operate fork trucks, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Proficiency in reading and interpreting work order instructions and drawings. Ability to be trained in and acquire a Forklift License. Valid driver's license with no major traffic violations in the past three years. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 1+ years of experience preferred. Familiarity with Outlook; AS400 knowledge is a plus. Ability to perform tasks requiring physical strength and dexterity. Self-starter with the ability to work independently. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is non-climate controlled and involves cutting metals, which can be dirty depending on the task. It is very hot in the summer months. Personal protective equipment such as steel toes and eye/ear protection is required. The position involves 50% of the time on a forklift and 50% on administrative tasks. The work hours are Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
