Job Description
Come join our team and work at St. Louis Music as a Warehouse Associate/Receiving! The Warehouse Associate/Receiving person in this position is responsible for providing extraordinary service to both external and internal clients. The Warehouse Associate/Receiving is also responsible for performing manual labor tasks associated with receiving, storing, inventorying, and issuing materials, supplies, and assets delivered to and shipped from St Louis, MO. Accurately receive and stock material in designated areas, record overstock locations. Enter receipt to WMS system. Communicate discrepancies in a timely manner to appropriate personnel. Assist in unloading shipping containers. Cycle counts SKUs in the warehouse on a daily / weekly / annually basis in the warehouse. Ensure that all warehouse areas are clean and safe. Adheres to appropriate policies and procedures in all warehouse tasks. Perform other duties, as assigned. What are we looking for? Must be able to bend, carry, squat, stand, twist and lift up to 50 pounds. Detail-oriented and able to stay focused on repetitive tasks for long periods of time. Basic computer knowledge and ability to operate a warehouse handheld computer. Operation of manual and electric pallet jack. Experience in a fast-paced Distribution / Fulfillment center is a plus. Knowledge of musical instruments/accessories is a plus. These skills and abilities are typically acquired through high school graduation or equivalent, as well as through work experience in a warehouse environment.
