Instagram Duties and Responsibilities of the Material Handler Operator Operate material handler (excavator) with grapple, magnet and/or shear to move, manage and organize metals. Appropriately identify, handle, sort and process materials. Load and unload trucks with metals in a safe manner with excavator. Customer service. Perform the staging and inspection of materials. Report non-conforming materials. Assist with organization of steel yard and make space for new product daily. Perform daily safety and maintenance inspections on equipment before operating.
