In this vital role, you will coordinate and manage freight shipments, ensuring seamless transportation processes within the government logistics network. Your proactive communication and organizational skills will drive efficiency, support transportation planning, and uphold the highest standards of service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of freight dispatching, utilizing advanced transportation management systems and data analysis to optimize supply chain operations. Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule freight pickups, deliveries, and shipments using transportation management systems such as AS400 and Government Transportation Systems. Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and internal teams via email and phone systems, ensuring clear instructions and updates. Maintain accurate data entry for shipping & receiving logs, freight documentation, and dispatch records in AS400 and other logistics platforms. Data research and RFQ opportunities amongst different government platforms. Analyzing solicitations and scope of work to determine if LHP is a candidate to bid on Gov. freight. Attend meetings to discuss solicitations, bidding techniques and capabilities. Experience Proven experience in dispatching or transportation management within a logistics or supply chain environment. Familiarity with transportation management systems in a plus Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi-projects confidently. Knowledge of freight operations including shipping & receiving, fleet management, and 3PL coordination is recommended Knowledge of government freight, DoD, or F.E.M.A is preferred Proficiency in data entry using platforms like AS400 or Microsoft 365 Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
