Goedecke is one of the country's largest private distributors of construction materials, and currently has an opening for a Yard Worker in Springfield, MO. Goedecke is looking for enthusiastic employees that support our Core Values of Integrity, Work Ethic, Solution Oriented, Teamwork and Customer Focus. The position requires employees to work in a variety of weather conditions. This position is outside all year round. Due to the operating conditions of the position, this is considered a safety sensitive position. No more nights or weekends! Regularly required to left 10-50 lbs. 1.Assist with loading and unloading of merchandise using Fork truck. 2.Assist with building gang forms, use of basic carpentry skills 3.Move merchandise or supplies using Forklift. (Forklift license preferred not required). 4.Check in and put away concrete forming and shoring 5.Read, pick and pack customer, transfer and rental orders. 6.Check and identify PO numbers and labels to ensure order accuracy. 7.Ensure merchandise is organized and accessible by keeping shelves, pallet and work area clean neat. 8.Limited facilities work may be required including but not limited to sweep, dust and mop. 9.Must follow all safety policies and requirements. 10.Use of misc. hand tools. 11.Ability to regularly lift 0-50 lbs., occasionally lifting and/or moving items that weigh more than 50 lbs. with assistance from other yard workers 12.Miscellaneous duties as they arise.
