POSITION SUMMARY
Monday - Friday, 8AM to 4:30 PM The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in ensuring the efficient and accurate movement of freight within the warehouse, in alignment with customer specifications. This position is responsible for executing work orders, safely loading and unloading shipments, performing cycle counts, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate consistently delivers high-quality results by adhering to established safety protocols and operational standards.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Strictly adhere to all warehouse safety protocols, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA) procedures and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to ensure a safe working environment for self and others. Interpret work orders or verbal instructions to determine job assignments, material handling requirements, and equipment usage. Safely transport freight, stock, and materials to and from designated staging and processing areas using forklifts and/or pallet jacks. Load and unload materials on inspection lines, occasionally utilizing a hoist for heavier items. Identify and determine proper material placement based on labeling, markings, or other identification methods. Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support overall warehouse operations.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed mostly in a controlled atmosphere. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch and talk and hear. Standing 90%, Walking/sitting 10%. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly is required. All employees are required to follow safety standards, adhere to Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education & Experience A High School diploma or GED is required. Competent literacy skills to read tags without transposing part numbers Powered Industrial Truck Certified Preferred Behaviors Must be highly reliable, responsible, and dependable to fulfill obligations Embrace opportunities to expand personal competencies and capabilities through training & education Engage and support Logistics' safety culture and efficient operation of the business, and maintain positive working relationships with employees across the organization Participate in and support the principles of Great Game of Business and Open Book Management
