Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive and disburse parts/supplies per established procedures. Effectively operates forklift to load, unload and shelve parts and supplies while maintaining safe work practices. Interfaces and assists the purchasing department to order parts or tracking undelivered orders. Prepares and processes purchase requisitions, purchase orders and miscellaneous forms used to order and track inventory. Inspect and verify materials and parts received. Perform cyclic inventory counts Interact with vendors on a daily basis. Handle emergency radio and off-shift phones. Performs job duties in accordance with MSHA law and regulations, established company safety procedures and State and Federal environmental regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have demonstrated ability to get along and work with others. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities. Competency with computer-based inventory control programs. Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). Ability to operate forklifts and to read and understand complex parts manuals. Ability to work rotating shift schedule.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. Warehouse experience preferred.
