Job Description

Job Summary:
Premier Transportation is seeking a skilled and dependable Warehouse Conveyor Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of conveyor systems within our warehouse facility in Hazlehurst, MS. This role is critical to ensuring efficient material handling, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair conveyor systems and related mechanical/electrical components
  • Perform preventive maintenance to reduce equipment failures and downtime
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues on conveyors
  • Replace belts, rollers, motors, bearings, sensors, and other components as needed
  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
  • Collaborate with warehouse operations and management to support production goals
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and emergency repairs
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in conveyor systems maintenance or industrial equipment repair
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with motors, gearboxes, PLCs, and automated systems is a plus
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment (heat, noise, dust)
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods
Work Schedule:
  • Wed-Sunday 6:00am-4:00pm
  • Full-time position; may include evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed
