JOB DESCRIPTION
: Assist with the handling of all incoming and outgoing raw materials and finished goods to complete daily work schedule as designated in the Daily Log book and in accordance with established policies and safety practices.EQUIPMENT
: Material handling equipment - forkliftDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Except as specifically noted, the following functions are considered essential to this position. Perform hook ups, transfers, and/or packaging of finished goods from storage tanks to boxes and railcars. Ensure quality control (QC) of finished goods packaging. This includes checking the appearance of the box, lid, liner, pallet and box stamp. Oversee proper handling of finished goods during truck loading process. Ensure proper cleaning and sealing of rail cars loaded with finished product. Organize finished goods, raw materials, shipping supplies and equipment within the designated areas as instructed by supervision. Perform hook ups, venting and transfer of raw materials from rail cars to storage tanks as specified in daily log book. Transfer Calcium Carbonate (CACO3) from PD railcars and hopper trucks to appropriate silos. Be knowledgeable of the safe operation of all material handling equipment and forklift. Responsible for proper cleaning of material transfer and blending equipment between changes in fished goods or raw material blends. Perform general cleaning upkeep of equipment. Inform Materials Supervisor of equipment maintenance needs and system inefficiencies. Perform all other tasks as assigned by supervisor.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
: Tactile/Senses - Must be able to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; must be able to talk and hear to communicate with co-workers and management. Must be able to see and hear to operate material handling equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Lifting - Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 55 pounds to move boxes, bags and hoses. Walking/Standing - Must be able to walk/stand continuously to perform job duties. The employee frequently is required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.WORK ENVIRONMENT

Additionally, the employee may be required to perform work at heights and in both hot and cold outdoor weather conditions.QUALIFICATIONS
: High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience in manufacturing/warehouse setting is a plus. Familiar with standard warehouse equipment. Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Must be able to write simple correspondence and to effectively present information in one-on-one and/or small group situations to other employees and managers of the organization. Must have the ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Must be able to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions and be able to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.INTERPERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
: Maintain social, ethical and organizational norms. Achieve accomplishment of all tasks details, not matter how small. Maintain good personal motivation; develop a sense of ownership of job tasks and results. Must have a sense of urgency for all work performed.TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
