Job Description
Job Summary Currently seeking construction workers for a gypsum concrete crew. Looking for either experienced or entry level employees. We have positions for full time or summer workers. Areas of operations include mostly Western Montana. Candidates must have their own vehicle to get to work in Columbia Falls, a valid driving license with no DUI's on record and be capable of physical labor on a construction site. Personnel should expect occasional work outside of the Flathead Valley area where they will be staying in hotels. Normal work weeks during the Summer time average between 40 and 60 hrs per week. Per diem paid for each night spent in a hotel. Health insurance and salary increase provided to employees that continue past the probation period. Excellent benefit package provided to long term employees. We occasionally work on government or school projects and cannot accept any employees prohibited from doing so. We have a zero tolerance for drug or alcohol use in the workplace. Additional compensation for proven CDL drivers. We will provide CDL license training for selected full time employees. Duties Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment. Perform general maintenance and cleaning of work areas and equipment. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Support skilled tradespeople in various tasks as needed. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Participate in team meetings to discuss project updates and safety concerns. Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner while adhering to quality standards. Qualifications Previous experience in a labor-intensive role is preferred but not required. Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 80 pounds) and perform physical tasks for extended periods. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety practices. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools is a plus. Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
