Contract-to-Hire Material Handler One of the nation's largest suppliers of structural building products for new residential construction, repairs, and remodeling is seeking a Material Handler. The Materials Handler role is responsible for safely moving and managing materials used in the construction of components and finished products. The position involves operating motorized and non-motorized equipment, lifting and carrying materials, and following established safety procedures. The ideal candidate is physically capable, detail-oriented, and able to learn from supervision and training to efficiently support production processes.Starting Wage:
$20 to $21/hour, depending on experienceSchedule:
Monday through Friday - 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.Essential Functions and Duties:
Handle and move materials used in the construction of components and finished products, including lifting, carrying, and stacking as needed to maintain workflow efficiency Operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment, including equipment that may require specialized training Learn and apply work processes through guidance and training from supervisors and experienced team members Follow all safety procedures and practices to prevent injuries, participate in safety meetings, and suggest improvements to enhance workplace safetyQualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Experience with motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment Strong manual dexterity and physical stamina Knowledge of and adherence to safety procedures in material handling Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds occasionally Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screeningSimilar remote jobs
