Senior Warehouseman Summary :
Drives truck or automobile over established route to deliver/pick up merchandise and other materials, and receives, stores, and distributes inventory by performing the following duties:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Drives truck to deliver inventory, materials, tools, or other stock items to stores. Records receipt and delivery information. Delivers and picks up merchandise and sales promotion materials from ABC stores. Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise. Verifies accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments. Issues or obtains signatures on receipts for pickup or delivery. Ensures that routinely scheduled maintenance and cleaning is performed on department vehicles. Loads and unloads vehicles by hand or by use of handtruck or dolly. Stacks and secures items in position on truck to prevent damage during shipment. Delivers and stacks merchandise in stores. Participates in monthly warehouse inventory activities. Participates in janitorial maintenance of warehouse facilities and office facility grounds. Reads shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Conveys materials and items from receiving areas to storage or to other designated areas. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Fills requisitions or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to stores. Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Locates and selects merchandise and verifies against delivery sheet specifications.Qualifications :

Ability to speak, read, and write English in a capacity sufficient to perform the tasks of the position. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees of the organization.Mathematical Skills :
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations :
Current commercial driver's license.Other Skills and Abilities :
Knowledge of and familiarity with stock handling and inventory control methods and procedures.Physical Demands :
