Warehouse Worker Myrover Reese Thrift Store

- Excellent customer service skills with a professional and friendly demeanor
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical demands of the job, including loading and unloading cargo
- Ability to follow delivery schedules and routes accurately
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Note:
Experience as a courier, delivery driver, van driver, or tractor-trailer driver is preferred. This position requires the ability to load and unload cargo, operate manual transmission vehicles, and provide excellent customer service. The successful candidate must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and be familiar with local traffic laws. Strong physical stamina is necessary for heavy lifting and handling equipment such as furniture and heavy items. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to follow delivery schedules are also important for this role. Experience as a courier, delivery driver, van driver, or tractor-trailer driver is preferred.Duties Include:
- Drive Agency truck or other vehicle to pick up donations such as clothing, furniture and electronic goods.
- Helps manage supply inventory and perform customer sales.
- Provide service to internal and external customers according to standards and ensure staff and volunteers follow same standards.
- Supports team in the maintenance and cleanliness of the store. Know and follow all guidelines for accepting or rejecting merchandise and use good judgement and analysis in making those decisions.
- Report problems or concerns to a supervisor as soon as possible.
Qualifications:
- Must pass initial and subsequent random/periodic drug screening and extensive background and driving checks.
- Must have a valid State of North Carolina driver's license.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of effective customer service techniques.
- Ability to organize pick-up tickets and to schedule route in a manner that saves time and gasoline consumption.
- Keep mileage records and repairs records up to date.
- Knowing and following guidelines pertaining to truck operation standards and phone policies.
Mental and Physical Abilities:
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involved the lifting and carrying of heavy objects, stooping, standing for extended periods of time
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
