Material Handler

Position Summary Receive and unload freight both manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks; checks for damaged goods; verifies quantity and quality of order; verify items received with purchase order; wraps, packages, and ships supplies; delivers and retrieves supplies to and from work or storage areas; tags and issues supplies.

Requirements Must Haves:

Forklift Experience (1 or more years) Ability to get proper counts Ability to work with other team members Ability to multitask Attention to details Ability to lift heavy object at times up to 75lbs Ability to use internet and email

Basic Computer Skills Preferred:

Have some background with inventory control Shipping and Receiving experience Duties Pack parts for shipment to customers or subcontractors Determine the best packing method to prevent damage of products in transit Maintain records for receiving and shipping product Determine method of shipment based on customer and shipping requirements Generate and apply shipping labels and packing slips Forward shipping paperwork to different departments Maintain inventory of parts and shipping materials and supplies Lift heavy object at times up to 75lbs Load and unload freight with forklift Cross train and help in other areas as needed Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required for this job.
