The Opportunity:
Responsible for providing customer satisfaction internally and externally by filling orders promptly and accurately, ensuring products are properly prepared, packed, and shipped to meet customer requirements. In this role, you will verify orders, prepare shipments, and support quality standards while contributing to efficient daily operations in a fast-paced environment. A typical day includes reviewing work orders, packing materials, labeling shipments, and collaborating with team members to meet production and shipping deadlines. How you will impact
Smurfit Westrock:
Ensure orders meet shipping accuracy requirements and customer specifications Verify line clearance, job numbers, part numbers, descriptions, and revision levels prior to packing Ensure all shipping and quality documentation is complete, legible, andaccurate Attach customer-required samples to shipping containers andmaintainretain samples for quality purposes Customize cartons and skids to meet specific customer packaging needs Apply labels and pack finished products intoappropriate shippingcontainers Prepare and skid-pack items for shipment Operate pallet jack and material handling equipment as needed Maintain compliance with all standard operating procedures (SOPs) Supportadditionaloperational duties as assigned What you need to succeed: High school diploma or GEDrequired 6-12 months of related experience and/or training preferred Forklift license or ability to obtain one Ability to read, write, and understand instructions and correspondence Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals Willingness to work overtime, including extended hours during peak periods Ability to pass basic reading, color vision, and color hue tests Mechanical aptitudedemonstratedthrough testing or prior experience Strong mathematical and basic computer skills Good communicationskills and reliable attendance Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Physical Demands:
The role requires standing, bending, reaching, and repetitive motion throughout the workday. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and handle frequent movement and material handling tasks. The work environment includes elevated noise levels and exposure to moving mechanical parts.
