Material Handler - Afternoon Shift

This position is based at our Kings Mountain, NC facility. Operate a forklift to drive material routes to maintain proper flow, distribution, and accuracy of materials and supplies for the Clutch or Manufacturing departments. Assist during changeover preparation by communicating with Operators/Lead and pulling materials ahead of changeover activities Work under time constraints while maintaining 100% accuracy of transactions Operate lifting aids and/or overhead hoists to manipulate and move parts Assist in maintaining an atmosphere of continuous improvement and team efforts for accomplishing departmental and plant objectives. Work as a team member to meet safety, quality and productivity goals and requirements Work a reasonable amount of overtime, including weekends and holidays as scheduled. High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution Prior experience operating fork trucks or other powered industrial vehicles. Upon hire, must pass forklift examination and operate forklift in a safe manner. Proficiency in inventory transaction integrity Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Windows-based software Able to lift up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis Able to stand and walk Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship Prior experience with the following software is helpful: Excel, Oracle, FCS, WMS, Premium Freight Database, UPS Website and Outlook Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly operation preferred Good attention to detail Able to follow-through on assigned tasks We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
