Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk / Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods through efficient shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining organized warehouse operations. Your energetic approach will help streamline warehouse distribution, support e-commerce order processing, and uphold safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where your skills in warehouse management systems, forklift operation, and inventory control will make a significant impact. Duties Prepare and process inbound shipments by unloading trucks using pallet jacks, reach trucks, or forklifts; verify quantities and inspect for damages. Accurately receive goods into the warehouse management system (WMS) or AS400 platform, ensuring proper documentation and stock updates. Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders with precision using RF scanners, order pickers, and packing materials to meet shipping deadlines. Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety protocols; operate forklifts and reach trucks safely for heavy or bulky items. Maintain organized storage by stocking shelves systematically, conducting regular inventory counts, and updating stock levels in the MRP system. Assist with order fulfillment processes for e-commerce platforms by selecting items accurately and preparing shipments for dispatch. Support warehouse distribution activities by coordinating with team members to optimize space utilization and streamline workflows. Qualifications Prior experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in shipping & receiving operations. Strong basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and order calculations. Ability to operate equipment such as load/unload trucks safely and efficiently. Knowledge of packaging standards and order picking/packing procedures for various product types.. Prior shipping and receiving experience preferred. Ability to follow safety procedures and workplace instructions. Must have forklift experience. Ability to complete and maintain accurate paperwork. Basic computer or data entry skills preferred. Ability to lift, move, and handle warehouse materials as required. Must be comfortable working in both clerical and hands-on warehouse duties. Strong attention to detail and reliability. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to work quickly in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy
