  • $17 an hour 21 hours ago Qualifications Computer operation Customer communication Serving clients Removing debris Boat handling High school diploma or GED Customer engagement Cleaning Computer skills Manual handling Full Job Description The dock hand is responsible for assisting the managers and other dock hands in coordinating the arrival and departure of vessels, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and providing a high level of customer service to vessel owners.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Welcome slip holders and/or transients in a manner which expresses a kind, courteous and professional character
  • Operating the marina pump out boat.
  • Provide customers with dockside services (Ice, package, baggage, and provision deliveries)
  • Assist customers with docking and departing their slips.
  • Perform daily dock check list.
  • Assist and support special events/activities taking place at the marina
  • Safely fuel small watercraft and large yachts
  • Maintain the weekly operation of the sewage pumping system
  • Assist with routine trash removal Qualifications
  • Must be able to operate a boat
  • Must be able to work weekends and certain holidays.
  • Must be able to provide great customer service and have and understanding of customers' needs
  • Must be able to pass a drug test
  • Ability to take initiative on tasks that need attention without direct supervision
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds
  • Basic computer skills
