Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Material Handler and become a vital part of our warehouse operations! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling, moving, and managing materials to ensure smooth logistics flow. Your proactive approach and mechanical aptitude will help maintain a safe, organized, and productive environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize heavy equipment, operate warehouse management systems, and contribute to the seamless shipping and receiving process. Duties Safely load and unload materials using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Operate RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately pick, pack, and track orders. Conduct order picking with pickers and ensure precise fulfillment of customer orders. Manage shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy and completeness. Use cranes or other mechanical tools to move large or heavy items within the warehouse or construction sites. Maintain a clean, organized workspace by properly stacking pallets, securing loads, and performing heavy lifting tasks as needed. Assist in inventory control through regular cycle counts and materials handling procedures to optimize warehouse efficiency. Support warehouse supervisors in daily operations, including load & unload tasks and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Experience Proven warehouse distribution experience with a strong understanding of materials handling processes. Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, or pallet jacks is highly desirable. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for order picking and inventory tracking. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment operation. Experience in shipping & receiving procedures within a construction or industrial environment is a plus. Mechanical knowledge or background in construction can enhance your ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Previous roles involving warehouse supervision or leadership are advantageous for those looking to advance into management positions. Pay:
$22.35 - $25.91 per hour
