The first month will be through a temp agency for training. The hours for this positions are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday with some overtime as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: Fork Lift Maintenance
  • Carry out maintenance checks; to include: oil, fuel, hydraulic, back-up alarm, safety equipment, battery, etc.
  • On a weekly basis, grease all the bearing zerks and clean the air filters. Yard Maintenance
  • Rebuild any damaged or faulty brick cubes.
  • Ensure that all the cubes are labeled with the correct lot number.
  • Keep area clean and organized.
  • Manage and maintain snow removal from the roadway and stocking areas. Loading and Sampling
  • Prepare and load materials in proper location as directed for trucks and railcars.
  • Pull loose sampling from areas upon request from office personnel.
  • Unload and appropriately place incoming product from trucks and railcars.
  • Inspect all outgoing and incoming products for Quality Assurance.
  • Demonstrate self-initiative, good judgment, common sense and professional courtesy. Inventory Movement
  • Coordinate with production the placement for new runs. Reblend
  • Preform quality checks and assure quality of brick.
  • Load packaging materials into packaging machine as required.
  • Load and unload blending operation as directed.
  • Complete all paperwork as directed.
  • Operate area machinery as directed.
  • Complete preventative maintenance as required.
  • Clean and sign off on the cleanliness of the work area as required. General
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and professional manner.
  • Follow and support all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Consistently maintain and display a positive attitude, respond to area problems and job duties with a demonstration of self-initiative, good judgment, common sense and professional courtesy.
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required, forklift experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems, and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Employee cannot be color blind.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
