Job Description
Seasonal Port Worker The NH Division of Ports and Harbors seeks seasonal Port Workers in our Rye location. The Port Worker is responsible for performing a variety of work in the general support of the smooth, safe and efficient operation of the Division of Ports and Harbors (DPH). Responsible for dock, gate and parking lot attendant duties Crowd control, security and safety watch duties Collects fees, assigns parking areas, and ensures DPH services are provided Provides information to the public regarding facilities, rules and regulations, and related information Keeps records and makes necessary reports for DPH Performs periodic rounds inside and outside of facility, cleans buildings and grounds, mows lawns, shovels paths, and empties garbage containers and places rubbish in large containers for paper removal Work is available through Columbus Day. All Port Workers must work one weekend day and one evening until 7 p.m. per week.
This position also requires the ability to get along with people and to serve the public courteously and efficiently. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities. Day shift Holidays Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
