Warehouse Associate

WheelerShip is looking for a Warehouse Associate to join our Order Fulfillment Team in New Jersey. Primary responsibilities include packing orders delivered by the Picking Team, labeling, skidding, wrapping skids, and shipping orders out. Secondary responsibilities will include supporting the fulfillment team across warehouse activities including supporting container unloads and other inventory control activities. He/she will work with the team to keep the warehouse safe and clean at all times. The ideal candidate enjoys a high-energy job that keeps you moving through the day, can work quickly and safely, and has an appreciation for the details!

Responsibilities:

Inventory - Pack products as ordered by the customer and delivered from the Picking Team. Skid, label, and wrap packages and stage for pick up by shipping carrier. Load shipping carrier trailers. Support inventory control activities and assist with restocking products and supplies, as needed. Report defective products as discovered and maintain thorough notes and paperwork. Safety and housekeeping - Ensure a safe warehouse environment by keeping an organized work station, alerting supervisors of any concerns, and completing continuing education for safety and hazards. Review any complaints and notify the shift leader of on-going shipping or receiving issues Constant heavy lifting throughout the day 40 - 75 lbs Perform other related duties, as assigned

Requirements:

A high school diploma Forklift certified Prior experience working in a warehouse is required Prior knowledge of warehouse paperwork and experience counting inventory and orders is required Computer and smartphone proficiency is required Knowledge of and familiarity with Fishbowl, MS Office, Windows 10 is preferred Prior experience with inventory control systems is preferred Experience operating certain power equipment is a plus Must be able to bend, stand, reach, pull, lift and carry items in the warehouse, including heavy lifting
