Hilman, Inc. designs, engineers, and manufactures high-capacity rollers, powered heavy moving systems, and custom load moving solutions. For moving, installing, and relocating heavy machinery and large equipment; Hilman provides easy, safe, and cost-effective solutions to a wide range of industries. Purpose of this job As our Warehouse Associate, you will be a crucial part of the team that keeps the heart of Hilman, Inc. operational. Your role will focus on the physical handling of our products, maintaining our inventory accuracy, and ensuring that the logistical aspects of our warehouse run smoothly. What you'll do Work under the direction of the Production Manager and Warehouse Lead within the Production Support department. Handle the picking and distribution of orders to production teams, adhering to daily requirements. Unload inbound materials from delivery trucks and ensure proper labeling and storage. Engage in inventory cycle counts to maintain accurate stock information. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment for movement of Work in Progress (WIP) and finished goods throughout the warehouse. Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and storage areas. Perform other related duties as assigned. Who you are You have at least 1-2 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. Prior warehouse equipment experience preferred. You are a self-motivated team player with strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and can prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. You can effectively communicate and collaborate despite occasional differences in opinions or methods. Comfortable utilizing basic math skills, including ability to count, add, and subtract numbers quickly and accurately. Comfortable performing work in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying conditions (noise, dust, varying temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks, etc.). Physical demands and work environment This role is physically demanding and requires working in an industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures. The job requires the ability to continually and safely lift, push, pull, and move items weighing between 75 - 100 lbs., as well as the ability to continually bend, squat, twist, and kneel. Lifting devices/mechanisms are provided. Steel-toe boots are required. Hilman, Inc. will provide gloves, safety glasses, box cutters, tape measures, and other necessary supplies.
