BASIC FUNCTIONS
Distribute stock, material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Read shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas. Sort and place materials or items on racks according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, or product code. Mark materials with identifying information. Arrange stock in specified sequence for other workers. Scrap customer stock. Drive vehicle to transport stored items from or within warehouse or pick up items from several locations for shipment. Attend Warehouse meetings as required. Ensures a strong commitment to quality and adheres to all
ISO 9001
related standards. Complies with all safety policies and reports any safety issues immediately to a manager. All other duties/ responsibilities as deemed appropriate by management.
III. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of basic warehouse operations. Basic math and reading skills. Good prioritization skills. Ability to use warehouse equipment including forklift, order picker, count scale, electric jack and manual hand jack. Ability to work independently toward general results. Must demonstrate working proficiency of the English language Can effectively communicate with, but not limited to, English speaking employees/other business contacts (contractors, customers, vendors, etc). Ability to learn cGMP requirements as it relates to their role - required prior to working on cGMP service lines. Ability to learn PDMA requirements as it relates to their role - required prior to working on Prescription Drug service lines. Successfully comprehends business materials written in English ( job assignments, instructions, etc)
IV. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Education :
High school diploma/GED.
Physical Demands :
Heavy lifting to 80 lbs.
