As a Material Handler, you will be an integral part of the production team, specializing in the preparation and finishing of fabric materials. Your role will involve using equipment to measure and cut fabric, adding hardware finishes to drapes, and conducting quality checks before packaging. Responsibilities Operate equipment to measure and cut fabric based on instructions. Add hardware finishes to drapes in the hardware department. Utilize basic hand tools for various tasks. Measure and perform final quality checks on drapes before they are packed and shipped. Essential Skills Ability to perform general labor and handle heavy lifting. Proficient in using measuring equipment and hand tools. Experience in handling raw materials and fabric. Capability to load, lift, and stand for extended periods. Production, assembly, machine operating, and material handling skills. Competency in quality control processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in utilizing a tape measure. Ability to use both basic hand and power tools. Physical ability to stand, lift, and walk for 8 hours. Capability to lift up to 50 pounds. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Secaucus, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
