Full Job Description Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Seafood Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking and packing seafood products in a fast-paced warehouse environment, ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency while working in refrigerated and freezer areas. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to maintain a high standard of hygiene and safety while handling seafood products. Also, responsible to follow all Tidal HACCP guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Picking and Packing:
Accurately pick seafood items from warehouse shelves and pack them securely for shipping, following customer orders and warehouse procedures.
Inventory Management:
Assist with tracking stock levels, inventory counts, and replenishment of seafood products to ensure stock availability.
Temperature Compliance:
Work in cold storage areas (refrigerated and frozen environments) to ensure proper handling and storage of seafood products.
Quality Control:
Inspect products for quality, ensuring that all seafood items meet required standards of freshness and safety before packing.
Safety Standards:
Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing protective gear, maintaining clean workstations, and following guidelines for safe operation of warehouse equipment.
Shipping and Receiving Support:
Assist in unloading incoming shipments, organizing products in the warehouse, and preparing orders for shipment.
Labeling and Documentation:
Ensure proper labeling of products, including batch numbers and expiration dates, and maintain accurate documentation.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with fellow warehouse associates, supervisors, and other departments to meet operational goals and deadlines. Accountability for freezer wear/gear.
Qualifications:
Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift up to [50 lbs] regularly and work in cold storage environments (refrigerated/freezer). Attention to
Detail:
High level of accuracy in picking and packing orders.
Experience:
Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or food handling environment is preferred, but not required.
Safety Awareness:
Knowledge of safety practices when working with food products and in cold environments.
Team-Oriented:
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others.
Reliable and Punctual:
Strong work ethic and the ability to follow schedules and timelines.
Flexibility:
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Comfortable working in temperatures ranging from [32°F to -10°F] (depending on warehouse zones).
