Job Description
Kessler Sales & Distribution is an American plumbing supply company with roots established in Paterson, NJ in 1935. Now, we have warehouse locations across the country and are growing more than ever! The company known throughout the wholesaler channel as Kessler Sales & Distribution (or KSD) is now an independent and autonomous entity within the Mueller Industries family of companies. We are urgently hiring for a full-time Warehouse/Forklift Operator in our Woodbridge, NJ location. Must have forklift experience and experience working with pipe & tubing materials (copper, pvc, steel, etc). Company offers medical, dental, vision, 401K, and quarterly bonus programs. Schedule is Monday through Friday. Summary Overview The Warehouse Associate assists with filling orders in a warehouse setting. This role will help to manage the warehouse, inventory, package goods, and will be required to be certified to operate our forklift and pick machine. The Warehouse Associate is part of the warehouse staff and works with other supply change management.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurately pick product quantities per order instructions
- Sort, label and store product safely in designated area
- Operate powered industrial equipment (forklift)
- Ensure safety by performing routine housekeeping tasks
- Follow all company and OSHA safety guidelines
- Maintain inventory integrity and product safety at all times
- Work closely with supervisor to resolve any task concerns that arise
- Communicate with associates and display teamwork in completing tasks assigned
- Ability to lift up to 70lbs
- Experience working with pipes & tubing required (copper, pvc, steel, etc)
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Candidate should possess oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Must be able to follow instructions provided by Management
- Demonstrate superior math skills, with ability to calculate quantities of product on hand
- Capable of being certified on power industrial equipment (forklift)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working with pipes & tubing required (copper, pvc, steel, etc)
- Minimum 1 year Forklift and warehouse experience
