Primary Location:
Albuquerque, New Mexico Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Proven experience in a warehouse or similar environment (Beverages industry experience preferred).
- Ability to operate warehouse machinery, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Physical stamina, with the ability to lift up to 70 pounds when necessary.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations applicable to warehouse operations.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to operate a mobile smartphone device.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as directed by the business.
- Willingness to submit to a pre-employment background check and regular drug tests.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming goods to ensure quality and quantity meet specifications.
- Organize and store inventory efficiently to maximize space and accessibility.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock audits.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve warehouse processes.
- Perform general housekeeping and grounds maintenance in the warehouse and sales center.
Warehouse Laborer Specific Duties:
- Load, unload, and move materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site.
- Read work orders or follow instructions to determine materials to be moved.
- Safely load materials into vehicles to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Convey materials from storage sites to the designated loading area.
- Count and record materials moved, noting any breakage or spoilage.
- Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark containers with relevant information.
- Stack or bundle materials and wrap them together for easy transport.
- Wear company-provided uniforms and safety equipment.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED. 1 to 3 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Communication Skills:
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively, including in one-on-one or small group situations with customers, clients, and other employees.
Mathematical Skills:
Able to perform basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) and compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
- Reasoning skills: Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Ability to address issues involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Work Environment:
- Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- Moderate noise level.
