Job Description

Position Summary Handles and transports election materials, supplies, and equipment in warehouse and logistics environments. Warehouse Personnel help prepare, move, stage, load, unload, and account for materials needed for election operations. Key Responsibilities Transport election materials, equipment, supplies, ballots, crates, signs, voting equipment, and other items as assigned. Load, unload, stage, sort, inventory, label, and prepare materials for deployment, return, storage, or transfer. Handle equipment carefully and follow instructions for moving, securing, or staging County property. Assist with picking orders, packing supplies, palletizing, shrink wrapping, route staging, and return processing. Report damaged equipment, missing items, count discrepancies, safety hazards, or unclear instructions immediately. Follow warehouse safety rules, lifting procedures, vehicle-adjacent safety, equipment-use rules, and chain-of-custody requirements. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, ballot security, and nonpartisan conduct when handling election materials. Required Skills and Competencies Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform sustained physical work safely. Ability to work in extreme climates, warehouse conditions, loading areas, or outdoor staging areas as assigned. Attention to detail when counting, labeling, staging, and inventorying materials. Teamwork, reliability, punctuality, and ability to follow logistics instructions quickly. Safety awareness and respect for County property and secure election materials. Minimum Qualifications and Compliance Requirements Valid Nevada Driver's License. Background check and drug screening required before assignment. Must complete required warehouse safety, materials-handling, and equipment handling training before assignment. Prior warehouse, logistics, event operations, material handling, or election support experience preferred. Schedule and Working Conditions Physically demanding work involving lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, standing, walking, and working around vehicles or equipment. May work in hot, cold, dusty, noisy, or fast-moving warehouse and loading environments. Must be available to work through the election cycle with limited requested days off. Must be available for schedule needs that may include 8-10 hour shifts, weekends, flexible start and end times, overtime, and extended hours on specific event days, especially Election Day. Must remain reliable, punctual, and responsive to assignment changes during a fast-paced, deadline-driven election environment. Must follow County security rules, workplace policies, chain-of-custody expectations, confidentiality requirements, dress code, and professional conduct standards. Performance Expectations Completes assigned work accurately, on time, and in accordance with training and County procedures. Maintains nonpartisan conduct, voter confidentiality, ballot security, and respectful service at all times. Escalates exceptions, voter issues, equipment concerns, safety concerns, and unclear instructions promptly to the designated supervisor or lead. Accurately documents work performed, materials handled, calls received, records updated, and/or batch activity as applicable to the assignment.
Compensation / Pay
Rate (Up to): $17.00 - $17.00 Per Hour
