Warehouse Operator Generate Upcycle - 3.0 Auburn, NY Job Details Full-time $18.50 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health savings account Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Flexible spending account Paid time off Employee assistance program Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Forklift Certification Employee relationship building Forklift High school diploma or GED Driver's License Industrial equipment Materials handling Full Job Description Position Summary The Warehouse Operator will be responsible for material handling to include unloading and loading from trucks, staging and storing materials safely and neatly, unwrapping and depackaging material, monitoring and maintaining all equipment at the facility. Duties & Responsibilities Operate plant equipment, including forklifts and skid steers, as required in a safe manner Store, stack or unload palletized material Follow all health & safety policies, including detailed operation protocols and procedures Perform daily pre-trip inspections of assigned powered industrial equipment, including Operator level preventative maintenance on heavy equipment, conveyors, etc. Segregate recycled material to their proper bin Manage and load materials for baler and its output Sanitation and cleaning of work areas Perform other job-related duties as assigned Education/Licenses/Certifications High school diploma or GED preferred Valid, state issued Driver's License or Forklift Operator Certification Knowledge & Experience One (1) or more years' experience operating a forklift and/or skid steer Knowledge of federal, state, and local job site health and safety rules, regulations, and best practices Skills & Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proactively establish trust and credibility with coworkers by maintaining accountability Contribute to the team dynamic by promoting inclusion, support, and collaboration amongst coworkers Take initiative, self-manage time and productivity through multitasking Think independently and creatively to problem solve Ability to be a team-player for overall company success Supervisory Responsibilities No supervisory responsibilities Work Environment Normal work environment is a plant setting, with exposure to high levels of noise, smells/odors and at times exposure to non-hazardous materials requiring necessary precautions, including PPE. Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Position requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including hearing protection, safety-toed boots, utility gloves, hard hat, reflective vest, and safety glasses. Must be able to grasp, grip controls, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach and push/pull 50-75% of the workday, as well as perform work in all weather conditions while maintaining a steady work pace. Lifting is required at times up to 50 pounds, repetitively.
