Buffalo, NY Salary:
$20.00/hr Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Material Handler for a box and pallet supplier located in Buffalo, NY 14206 . This is an excellent temp-to-hire opportunity!
Payrate:
$20.00/hr
Hours:
Mon-Fri 6:30am-3:00pm
Job Duties:
Load and unload materials Put inventory away in proper locations Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs Transport materials to different locations within the facility Secure loads to the machine before transportation Inspect for damage to vehicles Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner while adhering to production schedules Operate and manage technical equipment Exchange propane tanks on the back of the lift when it is out of gasoline Restack lumber when piles are knocked over or need adjustments Assist team members in the yard and on the floor as needed Special projects as assigned Comply with company policies and safety guidelines, as well as identify workplace hazards Help maintain a safe and orderly environment in the facility
Requirements:
Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing environment preferred. Forklift experience is required! Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand/walk for the duration of an 8-hour shift. Familiarity with RF scanners and basic computer entry. Strong communication, a team-player attitude, and the ability to follow complex verbal and written instructions. Interested and qualified applicants are encouraged to apply directly to this posting.
