Job Description
Job Summary Join the team at Elmira Wholesale Furniture & help our community receive their new furniture/mattresses! You would be a part of a two person team providing services like, loading/unloading, assembly & set up for our customers. We are happy to provide both full time & part time hours. Driver's license is a must! Working under our delivery driver role, we work as team. You will be expected to share responsibilities like showroom restocking, Inventory set up, inventory unloading, general organization & a helpful hand throughout the day. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks and commercial vehicles, including manual transmission models, to deliver products to customers across designated routes Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of goods Provide excellent customer service by delivering products promptly and professionally, addressing customer questions or concerns when necessary Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after routes to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations Maintain accurate delivery logs, and warehouse inventory records Assist in warehouse organization by moving stock, stocking shelves, and preparing orders for shipment or delivery Follow safety protocols at all times during driving and warehouse activities to prevent accidents or injuries Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with route driving expertise Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude Warehouse experience including loading/unloading, moving heavy items, Ability to operate box trucks Physical strength for heavy lifting, moving items, and performing manual tasks throughout the day Knowledge of safety procedures related to driving, warehouse operations, and equipment use Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles preferred Familiarity with load & unload procedures, route planning, and time management skills Embark on a role that keeps you active and engaged!
