Job Description

Materials Manager DATE:
4/3/26 POSITION SUMMARY The Material Handler will pull all materials needed for a job and move to the correct department. They are responsible for performing inventory transactions in the ERP system to ensure inventory levels and schedules are up-to-date.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following machine safety guidelines, and reporting any safety hazards or incidents. Safe use of fork truck and any equipment used. Handling of material for safety and quality.
Materials Operations:
Use fork truck to move materials around the facility. Pull materials and kit for jobs according to daily needs. Interact with Engineering and Purchasing to resolve material issues in a timely manner. Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
System and Inventory Accuracy:
Execute transactions in ERP system (MO receipts and issuances). Perform daily cycle counts as instructed by the Materials Manager.
Quality Inspection:
Read and follow instructions on routings. Ensure materials are moved to the proper department. Make every effort to focus on doing-it-right to make sure the customer is happy or satisfied with our product. Provide value to our customers by using Lean tools and concepts to identify and eliminate waste in all forms (scrap/rework, transportation, motion, waiting, inventory, over production, over processing, and under-utilization of people). Uses systemic thinking by seeing processes from end to end and works to challenge the status quo to eliminate the root cause of problems. Is involved in individual and/or team activities that involve using Lean tools and concepts to improve the flow of information and material. Other duties assigned as needed

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds periodically Must be able to sit, stand or walk for up to 8 hours per day
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent experience. Basic computer skills preferred.
Experience:
Prefer prior experience in machining, manufacturing or working in a similar environment.
Attention to detail:
Strong attention to detail to ensure precise material cut measurements.
Technical Drawings:
Read and understand specifications from blue print.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
