Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Associate to join our dynamic warehouse and distribution team. This role is vital in ensuring efficient inventory handling, order fulfillment, and safe operation of heavy equipment within a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in inventory management, materials handling, and equipment operation, contributing to seamless warehouse operations and customer satisfaction. This position offers an opportunity to develop expertise in warehouse management systems and heavy machinery while supporting the overall supply chain process. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently. Manage inventory control processes including stocking, cycle counting, and maintaining accurate records within the warehouse management system. Assist with order picking, packing, shipping, and receiving activities to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders. Utilize RF scanners and AS400 systems to track inventory movements and update stock levels accurately. Support warehouse distribution operations by organizing materials for manufacturing or construction projects. Follow OSHA safety guidelines and mechanical procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Perform heavy lifting tasks as required for stock movement or materials handling. Collaborate with team members to load and unload shipments while ensuring proper packaging and documentation. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse to promote safety and efficiency. Operate heavy equipment with mechanical knowledge to support construction or manufacturing activities as needed. Experience Prior experience in warehouse management or distribution centers is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with inventory management systems such as AS400 or similar platforms. Hands-on experience operating reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use. Strong understanding of materials handling, stocking procedures, and shipping & receiving processes. Experience with order fulfillment, picking & packing, and load & unload activities in a fast-paced environment. Warehouse supervisor experience is a plus but not mandatory; leadership skills are valued. Mechanical aptitude for operating heavy equipment safely and troubleshooting basic issues. Familiarity with manufacturing or construction environments is advantageous. This position offers an engaging work environment where safety, efficiency, and teamwork are prioritized.
