Warehouse Technician and Packaging Assistant

Full-Time Warehouse Technician and Packaging Assistant Catskill Brewery is hiring for a full-time Warehouse Technician and Packaging Assistant. This is a full-time hourly position that reports to the Head Brewer/Production Manage. General Schedule is Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm (sometimes 8a-4p or 9a-5p) with occasional hours on weekends required in rare instances.

Position Responsibilities:

Rotate, organize, and maintain inventory of beer, ingredients, and point of sales materials- Enter inventory counts and transfers between locations into our production management software correctly and consistently (training provided) Load daily beer deliveries into our delivery vans and trucks following pick lists. Reviewing daily invoices and pick lists to ensure the correct amount of each product is loaded into the correct delivery vehicles (we have up to 3 delivery vehicles being utilized at times) Transfer and organize packaged and kegged beer in our on-site taproom and for retail sales Occasionally covering shifts making beer deliveries may be required at times. This is very rare but may be necessary occasionally. Clean driving record and familiarity with driving larger vehicles is a plus. Organize, and clean stainless steel beer kegs using our cleaning equipment and following our procedures Use our kegging equipment to fill kegs of beer according to production calls Assist on the canning line during packaging days- 1-2 days a week. This involves stacking and organizing finished cases of beer according to our needs and storage situation, folding case trays, stocking 4-pack handles, general cleaning, etc Drive company vans and trucks between the brewery and off-site storage locations to transfer inventory as needed. All storage locations are less than 10 miles from the brewery, the primary location being less than 2 miles away. Assist with organization, cleaning, and storage of all company event materials and storage areas- Communicate daily and periodic inventory counts, issues, stock updates, and package yields to the entire production and sales team Work with admin and taproom staff to stock and maintain taproom beer inventory- Other general responsibilities as needed

Requirements:

Must be able to safely operate company forklifts, vehicles, and production equipment and follow all procedures for operating equipment Familiarity using seated and standing forklifts and manual pallet jacks is a plus. Training will be provided, additionally. Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs overhead, lift 125lbs to waist height, push/drag 150 lbs on the ground, climb up and down ladders, and use hand-trucks and dollies properly and safely Must be physically able to stand, bend, and squat for the entire shift Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record. Must be able to read and understand company BOL documents, pick lists, and invoices.- Ability and willingness to cooperate with a team, to solve problems with a positive attitude and to adapt to changing plans rapidly

Compensation:
