In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely loading and unloading goods, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining a smooth flow of materials through our distribution center. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to a fast-paced environment focused on excellence and safety. This paid position offers an engaging opportunity to develop your skills in warehouse distribution, heavy equipment operation, and materials handling. Duties Safely load and unload shipments using equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to accurately track inventory and process shipments. Assist with order picking using pickers and ensure correct items are selected for shipping or storage. Manage shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming goods against purchase orders and preparing outgoing shipments. Use heavy equipment such as forklifts, crane systems, and clamp trucks to move large or heavy materials efficiently. Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely while maintaining proper ergonomic practices to prevent injuries. Support warehouse management by organizing materials, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Skills Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or construction environments. Strong knowledge of warehouse equipment including forklift operation, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, cranes, and heavy lifting techniques. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and order picking procedures. Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance is highly desirable. Understanding of OSHA safety standards for materials handling and equipment use. Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting and sustained movement throughout shifts. Prior experience in warehouse supervisor roles or leadership positions is a plus for those interested in growth opportunities.
